Santoku literally translated means three benefits. The slicing, dicing and mincing abilities of this style of blade are legendary. The wide blade makes any kind of ‘horizontal cut' technique very comfortable. A most useful size, the M1014, is long enough to tackle most jobs such that require a horizontal cutting motion and yet small enough to be comfortable in most hands. This style of blade with its very straight edge profile for almost 70% of its edge will make the preparation of vegetables seem effortless.
